It is my immense pleasure and privilege to inform you that Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) Chandigarh, an eminent Institute of National Excellence under Act of Parliament Government of India, is organizing 5th National Conference on Tobacco or Health (NCTOH)-virtual on 25-26 September’ 2020. The theme of the conference is “Multispectral convergence for Tobacco-Free India by 2030: Leading the way towards SDGs”. The proposed virtual conference will boost tobacco control efforts by agglomeration of decision makers, implementers and academicians from different states across the country under one roof for sharing contextual experiences and best practices in tobacco control which will ultimately lead to advancing tobacco control in the country.
The two-day virtual scientific programme will focus on diverse public health issues and challenges in tobacco control, ranging from Multi-Sectoral Convergence, Tobacco Industry Interference, Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) & Tobacco Control and other emerging and re-emerging topics.
